oh... UAU!

So, I was in Tallinn for a Conference of the European Network of Academic Services with a talk on “Physical activity and health in the University setting”.

I must say that my participation was a great success, with the delegates giving me sincere congratulations and thanks for the content of the talk. In addition, I got two invitations to work with the University of Helsinki in Finland, and Zagreb in Croatia in projects that those two universities have in the area of exercise and health.

But the most impressive thing was… the women of Tallinn. OH… MY… GOD!!!! They all look like Maria Sharapova or Anna Kournikova… they are so beautiful that is painful. And elegant! And sophisticated. Dear lord!!! I was not to return to Portugal. I cannot explain it better… that is what my heaven should be. And with an added bonus… they flirt with a little bit of friskiness that was maddening.

Picture this, walking by someone that looks like a supermodel. You have to look at her! You have to! Damn, I’m a heterosexual men! I have to look at such beauty! And I’m floating on air when they locked eyes with me and walk by with a little smile on the corner of the lips. UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE!

The city is gorgeous. With an “old city” that is very ancient, but well restored and taken cared. On the other hand, part of the city is becoming ultra-modern and sophisticated. That mix will be awesome. Tallinn will be the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2011, and I can imagine being one of the most spectacular capitals of Europe.

One thing that I did not miss… is the cold. Damn!! It was zero degrees temperatures, and I so much hate those freaking low temperatures. But there were several reasons to feel warm inside… if you know what I mean ; )
