Saudade

There is a Portuguese word that doesn’t not exist in any other language. It’s “saudade”.

The meaning is very "ours", very specific to a culture of sorrow, desperation and sadness, that the Portuguese reality sometime can be.

But it’s nevertheless a beautiful word. And it means “to miss something to the point that it hurts”.
